Those words were unlike any other I had received
In a letter
It washed an overwhelming wave
Into the depths of my heart
It was a warm wave
Of love
The only true kind
That cannot be drowned by many waters
Perfect love
Conveyed through words
Conveyed through the Spirit
Conveyed through a covenant friend
Who read them out
As I shut my eyes and cried
This is love
That you laid down your life for me
To buy me life:
Life to the fullest, life eternal
Ears listen, faith grows
Knees fall to the ground
This love
Makes me worship
Makes me whole
